    About Yuval Tal

Yuval Tal has held senior business development positions as well as co-founded several successful companies  in the field of e-commerce.
He has made a notable impact in the world of technology and business. Tal has at least 20 years of experience in the Internet e-commerce field and in the establishment of hi-tech startups and companies. His expertise lies in areas that include security technology, currency exchange, prepaid debit cards, and tech applications. He has served in a plethora of top leadership positions in the tech and corporate world including: president, founder, vice president, finance expert, chief executive officer, and more.

Today he is the president of Payoneer, a company that provides solutions for international distribution of payment via a prepaid credit card. Yuval Tal founded Payoneer in 2005 with the aim of facilitating multiple daily transactions of funds around the world via the internet. Payoneer's solution enables its partners to sell their products, as well as pay their own suppliers, over a web-based system and eliminates the need for the use of regular banking services. Payoneer has its headquarters in New York City and also operates R&D facilities in Israel. The company is privately held with a staff of over 100 professionals, both technological and financial. Payoneer is firmly committed to complying with the highest standards of privacy, integrity and security and is constantly improving its technology to ensure customer privacy and authentication.

Yuval Tal's latest venture, though still in the field of e-commerce, takes him more into the field of consulting rather than product solutions. Payments-r-us was established, and is run, by four veterans of the e-commerce industry who have, together, accumulated more than a hundred years of experience in all aspects of payment solutions, including payment processing, merchandising, payment gateways and more. The team aims to help merchants find the best and most suitable payment solution for their particular operation, using proprietary software and a step-by-step wizard. The system is free of charge for the merchants, and Payments-r-us earn from the vendors to whom they refer leads.

Yuval Tal created two patents on payment transfer and multiple currency transactions, two hallmarks of Payoneer. He joins other Internet Age pioneers in removing brick-and-mortar banks from the process of receiving, exchanging and using money. By combining creativity, technology and a new way of thinking, he and his contemporaries have been able to change the way consumers use money.

Prior to Payoneer Tal was involved in several technology-based companies in Israel. In 1999 he was co-founder of E4X, a service provider for payments over the internet. E4X grew to become FiftyOne, a company that is recognized as a market leader in e-commerce with an annual turnover of more than $500 million. The FiftyOne platform allows businesses to develop international online marketing and sales while efficiently managing transactions, delivery and stock throughout the world. The company's platform allows retailers in the US to conduct transactions with customers in more than 90 countries around the world. Prior to E4X, Tal was employed as general manager of R-U-Sure and before that served as vice president of business development at the NASDAQ traded company, Radware.

Yuval Tal was born in Israel in 1965. He studied at Tel Aviv University where he completed three degrees - a B.Sc majoring in mechanical engineering, an M.Sc in biomedical engineering, minor in business administration.

Yuval Tal served in an elite unit of the Israeli Defense Force and in 1986 participated in a rescue mission for a wounded solider who was hurt from entering into a mine field. Even after his service, he remains physically active, for example, completing the 10-kilometer Nike Night Run in Tel Aviv.

Tal is a keen photographer and took a number of courses at the Parsons' New School for Design. The school is one of the most highly recognized schools for art, photography and design in the world and has an illustrious reputation with noteworthy and famous alumni such as fashion designers Donna Karan, Proenza Schouler, and Anna Sui, and American painter Norman Rockwell.  Yuval Tal is now on that list of notable alumni and attendees.

Tal is also a marathon runner, and enjoys participation in triathlons. The triathlon, besides running, also includes difficult swimming and biking segments. Other hobbies outside the e-commerce field include motor biking, in which he took a course, and also holds a license. Nowadays, Tal is spending his time between Israel and New York.
